Welcome to Annalee's Army Team page

In February 2005 we had our first born daughter, Annalee Christine.  She had her grandmother's red hair, her father's blue eyes and a smile that melted our hearts.  She also had Down Syndrome.  We quickly learned that Down syndrome is the most common genetic cause of learning disabilities in children.  Children with Down syndrome also have an increased risk for health problems.  We also learned that proper health care and early intervention is the key to improving the lives of those with Down syndrome. 

Because we live in Houston we have had access to world class health care for Annalee and an organization called Greater Clear Lake Families Exploring Down Syndrome.   Through GCLFEDS, Annalee has had sign language workshops, music therapy and other enriching programs.  We have been able to hear guest speakers who are experts on Down syndrome topics. We know that all of this has made a huge difference in our lives.
