Join the Cowboys Team for our 2^nd Annual Walk on October 1^st to Celebrate Kevin and Individuals Everywhere with Down syndrome!

Many of you know Kevin as a 10 year old boy who is an active, healthy 4^th grader who manages to make everyone his friend.  He was born with Down syndrome but has demonstrated that he is more than capable of living his life to the fullest.  Kevin enjoys many activities, including playing basketball, bowling, video games, snow skiing, and he's an awesome speller!  Kevin has a kind heart, and he loves to dance.  He especially enjoys being a big brother to Kyle (4 yrs.) and teaching him the ropes--  i.e., how to read, be fearless, and be an animal lover.  He works hard and has taught us many life lessons reminding us all that with a little determination and God's help, all things are possible!  His can-do spirit is an inspiration to everyone.

So become a Cowboy (or Cowgirl!) on Kevin's team to increase awareness and acceptance of individuals with DS and to help GCLFEDS continue its mission of support, education and inclusion.  Register to walk or make a donation if you can't be there on October 1^st.  Last year we had a wonderful time with friends, music, food and plenty of love! Many thanks to our Cowboys all over the country for your love and generous support.  Let's continue our tradition of "Stepping Up" for this worthy cause!

About Greater Clear Lake Families Exploring Down Syndrome:

• Greater Clear Lake Families Exploring Down Syndrome is a non-profit organization which serves the families of children and adults with Down syndrome and interested professionals on the south and east sides of Houston.
• Founded in 2007, GCLFEDS was formed by parents of children with Down syndrome who recognized the need for support and resources on the southeast side of Houston and outlying areas.
• GCLFEDS provides families with support, information and encouragement to help all individuals with Down syndrome achieve their dreams.
• GCLFEDS works to insure individuals with Down syndrome are included in community activities, neighborhood schools and the business community, to benefit both the individual and their community.
