Hi! My name is Jenna and I am 9 years old. I am in 2nd grade at Horn Lake Elementary in Ms. Abel's class! I have just discovered I love hip hop dancing and take a class once a week. I love my baby cousin Van! My favorite things are singing, swimming, going to the beach, going to church, reading books, drawing, hanging out & fighting with my sister Shelby and spending time with my friends, just like all kids my age.
And straight from Jenna she loves pizza and recess!
We invite you to support the DSAM by "Stepping up for Down Syndrome" and walking with our family! If you can't walk with us, we hope you might consider making a donation on Jenna's behalf. This will be the 9th year we have walked! The funds raised through this event helps families like ours by providing funds to host local Education Conferences and workshops, provide training to teachers on the best practices for educating students with Down syndrome, provide new parents up to date information, provide stipends to national conferences, and much, much more! Our family wants everyone to know that people with Down syndrome truly are more alike everyone than different and that is why we invite you to:
STEP UP by stepping out and showing your support for people with Down syndrome. Come be a part of the largest disability awareness event in the Mid-South as we STEP UP for Down Syndrome on October 16th at Memphis Botanic Garden. STEP UP includes a one-mile walk that leads participants through the beautiful Memphis Botanic Garden. As you STEP UP you are showing the community that people with Down syndrome lead meaningful lives. Right here in the Mid-South people with Down syndrome are accomplishing amazing things everyday!
Same great cause, with a new name! Hope to see you there!
