Hey Gang!  Carter is getting his Crew together and wants you to be a part of Buddy Walk 2012!!!!  Please walk with us!! If you are unable to join us on the walk, please consider donating to our little Crew Chief!!!

 

We hope that you will support our Team and help raise awareness of and funds to support people with Down syndrome.  If you would like to walk with us on October 20th, please Register by clicking the Walk link above.  Registration is $15 per person.  Event T-Shirts are guaranteed for registrations received by October 2nd.

The Buddy Walkr was developed by the National Down Syndrome Society in 1995 to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month in October and to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome. The Buddy Walk has grown from 17 walks in 1995 to nearly 300 walks planned for 2012 worldwide. In 2011, more than $11.2 million was raised nationwide to benefit local programs and services, as well as the national advocacy and public awareness initiatives of NDSS that benefit all individuals with Down syndrome.

 

Proceeds from the Tarrant County Buddy Walk benefit the Down Syndrome Partnership of Tarrant County (DSPTC) with a portion of the proceeds going to Green Oaks School and the NDSS.  See more information about these worthy programs at www.dsptc.org,  www.greenoaksschool.org, and www.ndss.org.
