Thank you to everyone who helped make the 10th annual Step up for Down Syndorme Walk such a successful event.  It was a gorgeous day for the 56 teams and 1,275 walkers that walked the 1 mile route.  We appreciate everyone's hard work and dedication to help us exceed our first goal of $50,000 and almost meet our second goal of $60,000.
If you missed the walk, you can still donate on-line until October 31, 2011.

Thank You To Our Sponsors!

Oh My Stars! Can you believe that I am 5 years old?

I have been blessed to be a part of this fundraising walk for the past four years!  I was born on September 14, 2006 and was in the hospital NICU for almost a week.  My parents and family were adjusting to all the "newness" of me when they learned of the Capital City Buddy Walk that raised funds to aide community awareness of Down Syndrome.  I was baptized the weekend of the Buddy Walk that year and did not attend the walk.  However, my family reaped the rewards of funds raised by that walk almost immediately as we learned so much more about Down Syndrome through the Down Syndrome Association for Families of Nebraska (DSAF).

I have been a part of this fundraising walk and fantastic community awareness event each year since.  My first year, I was the co-captain of a team with my friend Amy Farmer.  Amy has a great smile and loves to dance even more than I do!  We had a fantastic inaugural year in 2007!

I cannot believe how much I have grown and learned over the past 5 years!  Can you?!  All along the way my parents and family had a strong team of educational resources and support through the DSAF and all of you.  As funds are raised through this Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk you make it possible to educate our community and state about Down Syndrome.  I am capable of learning so much from you and to teach you so much too!

May God bless each of you!

My Love,

Sean Neal
